Post. Share. Advocate.
1. On July 23, 2025, go to Twitter or Instagram and post a pregnancy photo — past or present, yours or someone you love — with #BumpDay. Include a reason why you’re sharing your bump. (Need some inspiration? Try this: “There are vast disparities in maternal health care based on where a mom lives, her ability to pay and the color of her skin. That’s unacceptable, and it’s why I’m participating in #BumpDay with @whattoexpectproject and @whattoexpect.”)
2. Tag three friends and ask them to share a bump.
3. Go to whattexpectproject.org to send an email to your elected officials urging them to support the Rural Obstetrics Readiness Act, which aims to end preventable maternal mortality, severe maternal morbidity, and maternal health disparities in the United States.

A pregnancy photodump for #BumpDay. 😊
I also wanted to share with you guys 1 thing I absolutely hated about my pregnancies, and 1 thing I loved.
HATED the emotional and hormonal rollercoaster.
I was an egg the whole time. I was ecstatic when I was happy, irritable, quick to anger and really low when I was sad but guess what? All emotions led to TEARS.
I remember calling my partner bawling when I was pregnant with Kukhanya because I missed him and hadn’t seen him in a couple of days. I don’t think I’ve ever cried that much in my life and all because I wanted to see my man? Sha! High school Sibs would have been so disappointed in me.
LOVED being spoilt and of course the belly. I felt beautiful and so connected to God, the universe and all things creation. I believe there’s something very sacred and divine about the fact that we can carry life. And of course nothing beats rubbing your pregnant belly and being greeted with a kick. 🥺
Just talking about it makes me miss it a little but naaaaaah, I’m good. 😂
What did you love and hate about being pregnant?
And I’m very curious to know from those who have never been pregnant but 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘦𝘹𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘪𝘵, what excites you about pregnancy and what make you nervous?

Happy #BumpDay 🤰🏻A day to remind y’all that I was once a glowing goddess🤣…but also to stand up for equitable care for every mom, everywhere. 💞
Being a Hooters girl and Gogo dancer didn’t come with fantastic insurance. (Go figure 🤷🏻♀️) So when I was pregnant I went to a clinic. A lot of times I didn’t get a real doctor. Just a random student in training which makes the invasive part of checkups more painful. On numerous visits they didn’t even know I was pregnant! 😑 I was fully aware that they were treating me like 💩 but what can you really do when you’re an industry worker with no bennies?
In the end, the ultrasounds I received by nervous students were not read properly. Lucy almost didn’t make it because they missed a development defect. We found out in the delivery room in the worst way. 💔 The fact that she is here is nothing short of a miracle.
But why tf did we need a miracle when I did everything right in pregnancy?
Well because I was born to a bar owner so I have worked in the industry my whole life. But, the healthcare system is setup where not every economic class and race can afford to have a healthy pregnancy. Even for the people who hustle.
I have, and I urge you to visit whattoexpect site to help us take policy action! All mommas deserve to be treated by competent, compassionate professionals and all babies deserve the best chance. ❤️

⠀
🇺🇸 #TBT to the best CURVES of my life 💙 in tribute to #BumpDay 🤰🏻⠀
⠀
The second photo is my favorite ever ... Well, I loved this whole session! What I don't understand is why we putted 3 🐥 in the pool if there was only 1 😂🤷🏻♀️ in my belly ???⠀
⠀
When I pregnant I felt extra sexy (with my 40 extra pounds 🙈)! Who else around here felt the same when you were pregnant?⠀

I really wish I had bump pics from 16 years ago with my first baby but I was so damn young nobody was thinking about pictures 😅
Psa: kids say no to sex until you can pay your own bills 😂 cause you won’t have money for maternity shoots

Am I the only one who’s still very much obsessed with this (still pretty) new aloyoga lavender color? The best so far I’d say. I actually wanted to be better about posting again but life and pregnancy and a car accident (baby is fine thank god) and doctors appointment as well as work are keeping me busy. Wbu? Do you feel like time is just flying by too? Summer here is pretty much over and I’m SO ready for fall! 🍂🍁 🎃

I don’t know about you, but I’m feeling 32! 😂 I never thought a year ago I would be celebrating my 32nd birthday while growing a human, & better yet, almost ready to birth a human! 👶🏼💗😂 But I wouldn’t have it any other way! This journey over the past 9 months (even with the bumpy start) has been so amazing & will make it all worth it when we get to meet baby girl in just a couple of days! 😳🎀👶🏼
Time flies! Cheers to another year older!🥂
